Much like preventative care in pediatric and small animal medicine, this plan allows our veterinarians to monitor your horse closely and identify subtle problems before they become more serious or costly to treat. Even healthy, competitive horses can develop underlying conditions that go unnoticed for years. With regular exams, routine screening, and tailored preventative care, we can help support your horse’s overall wellness at every stage of life.
Our senior horses benefit from closer nutritional oversight, proper dental care, and routine health monitoring, while younger horses benefit from establishing normal baseline values that can be used for comparison if health concerns arise in the future.
What the Plan Includes
The Superior Preventative Wellness Plan includes:
3 farm calls or office visits each year, with two visits in the spring and one in the fall
Extended physical exam, including cardiac and ophthalmic exams
Nutritional counseling
Core vaccines:
Rabies
Two Flu/Rhino vaccines (Spring & Fall)
Eastern & Western Encephalitis
Tetanus Toxoid
West Nile
Coggins testing
Two fecal exams with egg counts (Spring & Fall)
Oral and dental exam with PowerFloating and appropriate sedation
Sheath cleaning while sedated for PowerFloating
Two Ivermectin/Praziquantel dewormers (Spring & Fall)
Routine blood screening, including CBC, blood chemistry, and electrolytes
In addition, horses enrolled in the Wellness Plan receive 5% off any additional service for the entire year.
Cost Savings
The value of the services included in this plan totals more than $2,000. By enrolling in the Superior Preventative Wellness Plan, you pay just $875 per horse.
For owners enrolling more than one horse, each additional horse under the same owner is $700 per horse. Enrollment is required for each individual horse.
Enrollment Information
Payment is due at the time of enrollment, and horses may be enrolled at any time during the year. Once enrolled, the plan will automatically renew annually for continued coverage and convenience.
